Precore - Great Season!!!

Hello Precore Swimmers and Parents,

Wow! Feed the Fire is always such an exciting meet… and this year was no different! The swimmers had a great last meet – earning many time drops, demonstrating how much they have learned this whole season, and most importantly, having FUN!

Congratulations to Paige Collins, Sophie Kash, Jessica Lowe, Alex Urbanski, Andrew Cook, Nathaniel Klingeman, Logan Townsend, Morgan Sokol, Jaeddan Gamilla, and Chloe Duwelius for their first place finishes. The Precore swimmers had a great showing overall at the meet - earning MANY top 3 finishes!

The Precore coaches wish the swimmers the best of luck on their summer seasons – we hope to see many of you competing for a summer swim team! We’re excited about coaching you again next fall or watching you continue to be successful if you are moving up to Core 1.

Attendance will be updated by tomorrow for the remainder of the season. Many of you have asked about which group your child should register for next fall. The coaching staff gives swimmers in good standing recommendations for the fall season at some point over the summer. Check back over the summer for next fall’s registration information and recommendations.

We hope to see many of you at our Awards reception. More information will come about this in the future through your emails.

Thank you to the parents for your ongoing support of your swimmers throughout the season – we could not be prouder of them and we hope that they are proud of themselves and that you are too! GO MAVERICKS!

Precore - Week 22

Hello Precore Swimmers and Parents,

I cannot believe how fast this season has gone... All the coaches would like to congratulate all the swimmers for the tremendous amount of growth we’ve seen this season. Each swimmer has come so far and learned so much throughout the season!

The FOX meet this weekend was great! There were many time drops – I think what impressed us coaches the most was the quality of swims we saw during the 100 IMs at the end of the meet Sunday. Great time drops, great technique!

Each group will be swimming their typical workouts this week, but with a focus on cleaning everything up for this coming weekend. We will focus more on the dives, turns, and small stroke details this week as we get the kids ready to race for one last meet!

The Practice Schedule for next week is as follows:

Monday – 6:00 @ MVHS

Tuesday – 6:30 @ NNHS

Wednesday – 6:00 @ NCC

Thursday – 6:00 @ MVHS

Friday – 6:15 @ NCHS

Feed the Fire is happening this weekend. Please check the meet packet for Feed the Fire for any additional information and entries. We will be making relays prior to the meet for Feed the Fire – please let Coach Megan know via e-mail if your swimmers will not be able to swim either of the days. Coaches Megan, Erin, Lisa, Chris, Kelly, and Marsha will all be on deck at some point over the weekend to cheer on the kids at their final meet. While 8&under events do not have finals at night, think about staying to cheer on teammates. The excitement at the finals sessions of FTF is unmatched by any of our other meets – what a great way to get your swimmers excited for their future seasons as Mavericks!

Thank you, in advance, for all your support throughout the season, GO MAVERICKS! Please do not hesitate to e-mail me if you have any questions or concerns,

Coaches Megan, Pat, Erin, and Chris will be at the meet on Saturday. Coaches Megan, Erin, and Pat will be at the meet on Sunday. There are relays at this meet. The coaches will tell the swimmers who is entered into the relays after warm-ups at our PC meeting. As always… swimmers need to arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of warm-ups. There will be a team area where swimmers can keep their things. PC kids will be bull-penned for their races, meaning that there are meet volunteers who will line them up. Coaches will be around to help get swimmers to the blocks on time as well. Parents can watch their children swim from the Spectator’s Area at all pools. Maverick suits and caps MUST to be worn at all meets. Team shirts are also a great idea for more team spirit! Feed the Fire is the following weekend. All PC swimmers will be entered into this meet as it is a Maverick hosted meet. We will be making relays prior to the meet for Feed the Fire – please let Coach Megan know via e-mail if your swimmers will not be able to swim on one or both of the days.

Thank you, in advance, for all your support throughout the season, GO MAVERICKS! Please do not hesitate to e-mail me if you have any questions or concerns,
